In the world, every two minutes, a woman died from cervical cancer, whereas in Indonesia, cervical cancer is the second cause of cancer death after breast cancer. |  | | Some risk factors include, marriage or sexual intercourse at a young age, often giving birth, and have multiple sexual partners supporting the development of HPV 16 and 18 that cause cervical cancer. |  | | Various efforts to prevent, so far not been optimally performed. Lack of knowledge about cervical cancer is one of the causes of weak commitment to mobilize efforts. |  | | One of the prevention efforts that can be done is to vaccinate. But the challenges to the promotion of preventive measures is still very large, such as in raising public awareness to vaccinate as early as possible. |  | | Increased public awareness, needs to be initiated with a promotional or educational efforts that must be done in a way appropriate and personalized, and Midwives are health professionals who have the ability and opportunity to do so. |  | | Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI), which now consists of more than 80,000 Midwife, currently plan to develop a program 'Midwives as Spear End Cervical Cancer Preventive Efforts'. |  | | As a pilot project, IBI formed several groups of Task Force (Task Force), spreaded in the city of Bogor, Depok, Bekasi, and Tangerang. The Task Force will conduct education campaigns and prevention of cervical cancer to the midwives in the area and its clients. These experimental activities will be implemented during the period September 2009 - January 2009. |  | |  | | The Establishment of Task Force (SATGAS) Cervical Cancer is a collaboration between GSK and Indonesian Midwives Association conducted in 2009. The purpose of this activity is to prepare midwives for early cervical cancer detection methods IVA and education for vaccination. The outcome of this activity is expected to increase the knowledge and skills of midwives in implementing early detection of cervical cancer with VIA method, providing education vaccination, and monitoring and evaluation of post-training. Areas targeted for this activity is the City of Jakarta, Depok, Bogor, Tangerang City of West Java Province. |  | The results of this activity is the formation of several Task Force consisting of midwives who are able to do early detection of cervical cancer by the method of IVA in targeted areas.
